With COVID-19 cases dropping, Melbourne is slowly moving out of its strict stage 4 lockdown. Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews, announced a slight easing of restrictions.
As of October 18, residents can now travel up to 25 km away from their homes. They can shop for necessities, exercise and socialise for an unlimited time for as long as they stay within metropolitan Melbourne.

The ban on outdoor live auctions has been lifted. A maximum of 10 attendees plus necessary staff are allowed to participate. This change is expected to boost real estate activity in the city.
